sorry!

sorry i haven't been posting school has really eating a lot of time and i got a myspace so i could talk to some friends around here and various other places. so i've basicly done nothing with this. my truck is up and running and has been for about a month and a half so that's good. marhcing band is finally over and we can start jazz band and do concert music in honors. we might get to play Jupiter of the planets and we are playing the bigtime orchestra version of Sleigh Ride. Lets just say i have a lot of practicing to do before i actually earn my place in honors. because i just kind of jumped from the lowest band to the highest which suprised me really. I'll be 16 in a month and 14 days so that's good although i have to make up my mind about what i want pretty quick. Ian and Susana are doing good, hopefully they will come for christmas and thanksgiving. They found out that the baby had the blood type for down syndrome but upon further investigation it was found that the baby didn't have it. yeah Dr. G actually got mad at 3 of us trumpets because we haven't practiced and gave us our last chance before getting kicked out of 1st band. well got to go so talk to you guys's later.

my truck

i'm really annoyed right now because i haven't had my truck for about 2 months now and we actually got it back about 3 weeks ago and the people who borrowed it, didn't know how to drive a standard with not much horsepower so they burned the motor and i have to get a valve job on it and replace the piston rings and all that jazz. and i have had my permit for about 2 months aswell so i have only driven about 8 times while if my truck was running i could have had mucho practice driving my truck but i have only been driving automatics but that isn't all that bad i will just have to relearn how to drive when i do get it running again for the second time. (last time i got it running and my dad let the stupid guys borrow it and then ruinned the motor temporarily). so yeah i'm really not happy but luckily my dad is paying for everything and i don't need it and it will be done as soon as some parts get here and we get the head redone of course watch something else go wrong soon after i get this done although i hope nothing will and nothing should because after this there is almost nothing that could except for a few things. i'm going to take some pics at some point. and i'm assisting a member of my ward rebuild thier 93 2WD truck because they ruined thier engine moving up here from austin in 99. it's just a little different because it's fuel injected and 2WD but it should still be pretty easy.....hopefully.

the importance of being legal and earnest... i quess

well i'm finally leagally able to drive in texas. i got my permit today and ian and susanna came home for a bit. i got to drive to a dumb band thing. i only went because i got to drive. i had to listen to dr. grant for 2 hours just so we could play at a teacher orientation deally for 5 minutes. mom was really nervous but she said i did pretty good. i think i did excelent for the first time driving on a real road with a lot of traffic. hopefully i can get my truck back from the guy we lent it to soon so i can actually drive it and drive it well. i can get my license on valentines day next year which really doesn't seem all that far away. school starts on wednesday and i still have to write my theme statement on To Kill a Mockingbird. well i have to assist with dinner and go drive some more.

Jet Skiing is fun!

i went jet skiing (however you spell that) yesterday and it was fun. i'm really sore and a little sunburned but it was worth the 5 and a half hours we did. the person who invited me throws anyone who rides with him off. fortunatly i didn't. he tries to do 360 degree turns and all sorts of other tricks. we brought an innertube deally with us and he went around in a circle for a while and almost threw us out. i decided i would show him what it was like. i took them around and when i actually got it going i actually threw them out because someone was doing something not right. i was going along already straightend out and i felt it get really light, i looked back and everyone was in the water and the tube was flying. anyways i'm going to be an uncle finally YAY! Ian and Susana are having a relativly unplanned baby. they were going to wait untill they were out of school and were settled in but i guess this little guy really wanted to come to earth. i have to go to my first funeral today so that's not that great and then i might start fixing dad's old landcruiser. it has an exhaust leak and needs the steering knuckles rebuilt just like mine. i got the drivers ed packet deally so on monday i might have my permit! we're going jetskiing on wednesday. another thing why do people spell wednesday like that? well i can't think of anything else so bye.

she's alive finally

i finally got my truck actually running while my parents were gone. the one part i needed came and i put it in and it still wouldn't start so i messed around with the distributer and found that i there is a special way to put it in and i did that along with some other stuff and it ran. now all i need is more gas and i can drive yet again! i actually drove home in it after meeting a pizza guy at a gas station. we ordered a pizza and they called back saying that they don't deliver this far but they have a drop off point. it was almost like a shady drug exchange because i was just sitting in the parking lot of a truck depot with my fog lights on waiting for the guy then jack said we should go look around the gas station across the street. when the person said where we were supposed to meet, he said something weird that i didn't recognize but the lady i talked to previously said at the corner of 730 and Veal Station so i assumed it was the truck depot. but it was appearently the gas station. so i got to drive home on a dark country road that doesnt't have the lanes marked and have only driven on that road once, at dusk and not for very long and on a busy highway that wasn't so busy at the time and i only had to go about 150 ft till i had to turn. anyways mom and dad are back and i was hoping that i would have a bunch of email or more people had blogged or something to keep me interested but no.

band nerds are awsome!

that's right band nerds are awsome. although if we had an orchestra that would be really cool too. we started summer band today and i got to see some friends i haven't all summer or maybe just a few times. our marching show is supposed to be Dance Dance Revolution themed. i don't think the idea of it sounds all that great but the is cool. we're playing some kind of Irish, European, jig type thing and then an Elvis tune, then Sing, Sing, Sing and then finally Sweet Home Alabama. i used to like that song but now for what ever reason they decided to start overplaying it at dances and radio stuff. so it pretty much ruined it. we have music to We're an American Band which is a really cool song. i don't think we'll play it though because so far we haven't been able to play but i've only played it once. i really like our show last year and we could have at least been it the top 5 at state had it not been for that stupid nascar guy. we were doing our show at a high school and there was a lowes across the street and there just so happened to be a nascar there doing a demo thing and it basicly covered up our sound and that made it so that the jugdes couldn't see if we were on time or not. i personally couldn't hear it because i was concentrating on my steps. the judges offered us a redo but for what ever reason Dr. G didn't accept. anyways everyone was were really bumbed and cryed and stuff but to me it wasn't really all that important except for the fact that springtown was trying to get us to not go to state. then they barely beat us and at state they came in last so in your face springtown. In my best John Cleese voice "and now for something completly different a man with 2 buttox" as i told in my last post i got my truck all back together and it won't start so i checked the igniter in the coil and when i did it, it showed it was bad but when dad did it, it showed that it was good so i can't use a multimeter very well and i need something in the distributer or a new distributer. hopefully after that i wont' have to do anything to my truck. i like working on things but it's sooo inconvinient to not be able to drive. also i hope the packet that certifies dad as a teacher for drivers ed will come soon so i can actually drive. well my arms hurt so another post at another time.

She's DONE !!!!!

i've been working on my truck for the past 3 days and my back hurts. i've been sitting on my butt legs spread out and leaning forward for basicly maybe a little less than 20 or 18 hours. so my back hurts and i'm really sore and stuff. i had grease from my steering knuckles leaking a lot and it got on the back side of my brakes so i figured i'd better fix it while i could. i got one side of the thing all done and then i realized i had forgotten to put something on so i took it like half way apart and put the thing on. then i came in for the day because we had mutual and claire and maren said i smelled really bad. i guess grease, oil, and sweat don't create the best smell but i got used to it. so i went ice skating for mutual and i thought about wearing my hiking socks but i decided to wear some not so good socks so my feet hurt too. and for some reason my left big toe is slightly numb or asleep or something it feels weird. anyways i woke up this morning and went straight to work. realizing that i had once again forgotten something again so i took apart the side i had just taken apart 3 time and put it back together again. then i moved all the neccesary tools over to the other side of the truck and started on that. thankfully it went much smoother. of course i lost some things and can't actually drive it yet and i need an ignition wire but once i get those things she'll be good as new. also i still think i should name her but i can't think of anything good. and i still need to do my To Kill a Mockingbird thing.
